Penang to receive 30,000kg of local rice via intervention programme

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 19 — Penang became the first state to receive 30,000 kilogrammes (kg) of rice through a local white rice distribution intervention programme today in an effort to increase the supply of rice in the state.
